You're Not Lost. You're Early.

Overwhelm can show up without meaning something's wrong with you, and second-guessing yourself in the middle of building something new is more common than not. If only three people showed up to yesterday's event and you spent the evening wondering whether you're failing, you might not be — you could just be early, and early can feel a lot like failing before it feels like anything else.

Hosting a community can be lonely, and isolating at times, ironically, when you're the one leading a group of people toward connection, and vulnerable to put your work into the world without knowing if it will land, and discouraging on the nights members go quiet and you can't tell whether they left or just got busy. And underneath all of that, it can also be more meaningful than almost anything else you've built, in ways that are hard to explain to someone who hasn't done it.

Most consultants can help you configure software, and that can be genuinely useful, but it's not the whole picture, and it may not be the hardest part.

Who I Am

I'm Sven Masterson. I'm a men's coach, author, and community leader. I've hosted two Mighty Networks since 2019, the latest being Masterful Men, and I was later invited by Mighty to become a Certified Mighty Networks Expert. I use Mighty myself, and most of my consulting is geared toward people who are navigating the experience of becoming — and then sustaining — being a host.

Before I became a full-time author and coach, I spent twenty-five years as an enterprise software developer and architect. That background gave me a skill set I didn't expect to need again — one that turns out to be uniquely suited to entrepreneurs who are transitioning careers, people stepping into an author role for the first time, and anyone becoming a community host without a playbook for what comes next.

I'm not a freelancer, a developer-for-hire, or an implementation specialist, though those are things I can do, and what I offer combines enterprise software architecture, community strategy, business thinking, coaching, mentoring, and practical implementation into one holistic experience — the technical, the strategic, and the personal.

I'm not a full-time consultant and I don't run an agency, and I take on a small number of clients because I believe in what they're building and I think I can genuinely help, technically and humanly.

Three Journeys, Happening at Once

When you become a community host, three things can be happening simultaneously, whether you realize it or not, and most consultants can help with the first, some with the second, and almost no one with the third — which can be the one that determines whether your community survives.

How do I configure this? Mighty Networks, Stripe, plans, spaces, courses, automations, integrations, workflows, and the systems and tools that make a community run. This can be the part most people search for help with, and I can absolutely help with it.

What should I build? What comes first, what comes later, what doesn't belong at all? How do I structure this so it serves members and serves my life? How do I launch, price, onboard, and grow without burning out? Strategy is where good intentions meet real decisions.

The Personal Journey

How do I become the kind of host capable of leading the community I'm trying to create? This can be the journey nobody talks about — the identity shift of leaving a previous career, becoming an author, becoming a leader, learning to hold space for people, learning to be visible, and learning to keep going when you're not sure any of it is working. It can be the real differentiator, and it can be where communities quietly fail, not because the software broke, but because the host never got support for who they were becoming.

You may have come looking for help with software, and you may have discovered you need help with something bigger, and that's not a problem — that can be the point.

If we engage, the cost is $1,500 for six one-hour sessions. We work in blocks of three sessions at a time, giving us enough space to make meaningful progress without requiring a huge commitment up front. If you want to keep going after six sessions, we simply continue three sessions at a time, for as long as it serves you.

You can walk away with direction, strategy, and real momentum, not just a checklist of tasks you don't understand.
